Key responsibilities

  • Participate in organizing and planning marketing events for the company to ensure optimal lead acquisition and brand awareness.
  • Monitor the company’s social media activity and develop relationships with online audiences in a respectful and sensitive way.
  • Monitor the company’s brand online and provide advice on branding while ensuring that branding and brand values are applied consistently throughout digital communications.
  • Produce, commission, edit and publish digital content across a range of digital channels including but not limited to e-banners in order to communicate the company’s products.
  • Build and continuously update the company’s digital manual and be a champion for the digital systems across the company as well as provide guidance on appropriate communications channels available and practical support in initiating digital work.
  • Produce monthly web analytics to assess whether the company’s digital activity is on track.
  • Supervise the production of digital products, such as website developments and HTML emails.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of a range of fully integrated digital communications that will assist the company to inform, inspire, influence and involve internal, external and stakeholder audiences and continue to raise its profile.
  • Write, edit and proof-read material for advertising and other marketing communications to ensure excellence, consistency and compliance with the company’s key communications messages, branding, design, accessibility and textual style guidelines.
  • Design print, digital and out of home advertising content for the company including but not limited to artworks for the company’s branding materials and mock ups to printing companies in order to ensure conformity to the company’s branding and quality requirements.
  • Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports as may be required.
  • Any other responsibilities that may be assigned to the job holder by the supervisor from time to time.

Internal Relationships:

The Marketing Officer is:

  • Directly accountable to the Marketing, Branding and Communications Manager.
  • Required to work with the sales team.

External Relationships:

  • Service providers

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or any other business-related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in marketing and branding preferably in digital channels.
