Job Vacancy: Sales Executive

A dedicated sales person required to sell the Company’s B2B and B2C training workshops and conferences, in Nairobi.

The individual shall engage target clients – through field / office visits, online engagement, telephone calls, presentation meetings, other events, networks and other effective marketing channels.

Skills Required:

  • Minimum academic qualification: a diploma or degree from a reputable University
  • Minimum one year selling experience
  • A good communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • A creative thinker well versed in effective sales techniques, offline, online and social media marketing
  • Thorough understanding of marketing, negotiating tactics and commercial numeracy
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to create and deliver attractive sales and marketing presentations
  • Hands-on experience with event sales and planning

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Depending on duties and assignments allocated by the Director from time to time, your duties will include:
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the Company’s services and strategy
  • Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate target client needs
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through continuous field/ office visits, cold calling, own networking, social media and other effective marketing channels
  • Set up meetings with potential clients and listen to their needs and identify sales opportunities
  • Generate new sales ideas, marketing concepts and collaboration opportunities for Directors’ approval
  • Create market awareness of the Company’s unique offering and ensure continuous follow up
  • Drive demand for the Company’s services maintaining strong communication with leads/ clients
  • Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on Company services for sales purposes
  • Participate in planning and organizing the actual expo event
  • Keenly monitor market trends, competitor activity etc and share internally to improve results
  • Negotiate sales and handle complaints or objections and ensure forwarded to Director
  • Gather feedback from clients or prospects, and share with designated internal team members
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, prospects and partners
  • Maintain positive productive relationships with designated team/ management
  • Review sales performance on weekly, monthly, quarterly basis and report accordingly
  • Maintain comprehensive accurate records and database of contacts, leads and client interactions
  • Prepare periodic progress reports with sales, forecasts, expenses and relevant financial information
  • Undertake relevant training as directed
  • Assist with carrying out administrative, business and/or operational tasks as required
  • Undertake such other responsibilities and tasks as may be instructed by the Director from time to time
