In January 2022, we launched a 3-year transformation program that aims to deliver 8000 new coolers in the next 2 years. In this regard we have a need to augment our technical capacity by hiring 4 water technicians to work in various parts of Kenya in order to not only meet the installation demands of the business but also to expand our maintenance capacity in order to deliver a fantastic customer experience. Role: Water Technician

Role Description: The Technician’s role is to work under the guidance of the Lead Technician in order to drive performance in the field ensuring that all installations, preventive and curative maintenance activities meet the SLA requirements and are done within time, cost and quality tolerances.

Reporting to: Lead Technician

Role Objective:
1.) To ensure the Aquavita water purification systems are always available, producing safe water and meet the SLA requirements.

Job Description
1.) Conduct site surveys ensuring they are reported and documented according to the Aquavita site survey requirements.
2.) Ensure that all installation activities including water tests are conducted according to the implementation plan, the technical procedures and manufacturer’s specifications.
3.) Work under the leadership of the Lead Technician to ensure that weekly and monthly preventive maintenance targets are met.
4.) Work under the leadership of the Lead Technician to ensure that all curative maintenance events are attended to, the required solutions are provided and tickets closed.
5.) Document and report all incidences that need warranty and ensure these are reported through the relevant channels and processed accordingly.
6.) Ensure hazard identification, assessment and mitigation of all risks associated with installation and maintenance activities through a detailed risk assessment report.
7.) Any other duties as shall be allocated to you by your direct supervisor.

Requirements for the Role
➢ Diploma from a credible institution in Water Engineering, Plumbing,
➢ Minimum of 2 years of experience in working on water infrastructure deployment including design of water systems, installation and maintenance of systems (boreholes, pumps, tanks, water heating systems, sinks, etc).
➢ Class E driving license
➢ Ability to communicate effectively and a willingness of learn new skills.
➢ Willingness to learn riding of motor-bikes.
➢ Authentic and articulate individuals with strong oral and written communication skills.
➢ Process oriented with the passion, ambition, grit and DNA of handling well established customers.
➢ In-depth knowledge of water systems and technologies.
